Mission Public School District is located on the Traditional, Ancestral, Unsurrendered,
and Shared territories of Stó:lō people, of Leq'á:mel, Semá:th, Máthxwi, Sq'éwlets and
Qwó:ltl'el First Nations, stewards of this land since time immemorial.

Halq'eméylem is the language of this land and of Stó:lō ancestors. The place from
where Halq’eméylem (Upriver dialect) originates is Leq’á:mel. The language comes from
the land, and it has been this way since time immemorial.

My host family was perfect, they gave me options for what I wanted to do. They made every month something special

Lotte, from Germany

The program is very good and provides a lot of support. They take their jobs very seriously and always ask if everything is okay.

David, from Austria

Mission is a nice city; it's so beautiful. And the biggest point for me is that it's a safe little city. You can cover everything you want to do in Mission
